Who viewed your profile

When you open someone's full profile, they can see that you visited, and when. Glancing at someone in Discover, on a Swipe card or in your introductions doesn't tell them anything.

This guide explains exactly what counts as a visit, what your Profile views list shows, and how long visits are kept.

The short version

Opening a profile is a visit

When you open someone's full profile on the website, you appear on their Profile views list. Search results, Swipe cards and introductions don't count.

One entry per person

Each visitor appears once, with the time of their latest visit. Coming back again moves them to the top rather than adding a second entry.

No alerts

Nobody is notified when you view their profile, and you aren't notified either. Visits wait on the list until you look.

What counts as a visit

Only opening a full profile leaves a trace.

A visit is recorded when you open someone's profile page on the FindLove website, wherever you opened it from. Everywhere else you see members, your browsing stays your own.

Visits belong to the profile you are using at the time, and you never appear on your own list.

Recorded

Someone's full profile page

Opening a member's profile on the FindLove website, whether from Discover, your matches, your friends, a conversation or a link. Opening it again updates the time.

Not recorded

Discover search results

Seeing someone in your search results doesn't tell them anything, however often they come up.

Not recorded

Swipe cards

Looking at a card in Swipe, and expressing interest or passing, isn't a visit. Interest is shown to them in its own way.

Not recorded

Your daily introductions

The introductions on your dashboard can be read without leaving a trace.

Not recorded

Searching with your AI assistant

When your assistant searches Discover for you, nobody is told. If you then open a profile from its results, that is a visit like any other.

Not recorded

The FindLove app

Opening a profile in the iPhone or Android app isn't recorded as a visit. The Profile views list is on the website.

Not recorded

Your own profile preview

Checking how your profile looks to others never counts as a visit to yourself.

Not recorded

FindLove's team

When someone on our team opens your profile to review it, the visit isn't recorded and never appears on your list.

Counting

How visits are counted

Your list is a record of people, not of page loads. It tells you who has looked and how recently, not how often.

One entry for each visitor

FindLove keeps a single record for each member who has opened your profile, with the time of their latest visit. It doesn't keep a count of how many times they came back.

The latest visit decides the group

Visitors are grouped by when they last opened your profile, newest first. Someone who visited months ago and again today moves into Last 7 days.

Your dashboard counts this week

The Profile views figure on your dashboard is the number of people whose latest visit was in the last seven days.

Last 7 days Within 7 days Fresh eyes on your profile this week.
Last month Between 7 and 30 days ago Visitors who checked in over the past month.
Earlier More than 30 days ago Everyone else who has viewed your profile.
Your list

What your Profile views list shows

Find it under You, then Profile views, on the FindLove website. Your dashboard also shows how many people visited this week.

Who visited

Each visitor's name and main photograph, with their gender, age and country underneath.

When they visited

How long ago they last visited, such as "Viewed 3 days ago", with the exact date and time in the time zone set in your account settings.

Up to date when you want it

The list is current when you open it. Use Refresh to check again without leaving the page.

In control

Visits and your privacy

Visits work the same way for everyone, so what others can learn about you is exactly what you can learn about them.

There's no private browsing

FindLove doesn't have a setting for opening profiles without being seen. If you'd rather someone didn't know you looked, stay with Discover, Swipe and your introductions.

Being recently active is a separate setting

Turning off activity on your dashboard stops members finding you with Recently active. It doesn't stop your visits being recorded.

Pausing stops new visits

While your profile is paused, nobody can open it, so nothing new is added to your list. Profiles you open while paused still record your visit.

Nobody is notified

There is no alert, email or push notification for a profile view, in either direction. Visits only show up when someone opens their list.

Keeping visits

How long visits are kept

Kept

For as long as both profiles exist

  • A visit stays on your list until either profile is deleted.
  • Your list isn't cleared by blocking someone, or by them pausing or closing their profile, so earlier visitors can still appear.
Removed

Gone with the profile

  • If your profile is deleted, your visits disappear from other people's lists.
  • If a visitor's profile is deleted, their visit disappears from yours.

See who's been by.

Your Profile views list groups visitors by how recently they came, newest first.
