Dating with your AI assistant

Tell your assistant who you're hoping to meet, in your own words, and it sets up the search for you. FindLove works with the AI assistant built into your browser, so you spend less time on filters and more time getting to know people. You stay in charge of who you contact, and of what the assistant can see.

The short version

Describe, don't filter

Tell your browser's AI assistant who you're hoping to meet. It turns that into a Discover search and shows the results on your screen.

You switch it on

Your assistant can't search for you until you turn on Browser assistant on the Discover page. It switches off again when you leave.

Names and links only

Your assistant gets members' display names and profile links. It never gets their bios, photos, documents or contact details.

What it can do

Search the way you'd describe it

Your assistant uses the same Discover page you do. When it searches, the results appear on your screen, exactly as if you'd set the filters yourself.

Set your filters for you

Age, height, gender, religion, country, what someone is looking for and the industry they work in. It can also look for members who have shared photos, are open to relocating, were active in the last week or have a verified qualification.

Sort the results

By compatibility, by who was active most recently, or by who joined most recently. Compatibility is an ordering based on what members have shared, not a prediction of how a relationship will go.

Page through the results

Up to ten members at a time. Ask for the next page, or refine the search, and the page updates in front of you.

Tell you what it searched for

It can read back the filters and sort currently applied, so you can check that it understood what you asked.

Point you to help and articles

On FindLove's public pages, it can find the right help guide or list our latest blog and resource articles for you.

Getting started

Five steps, from switch to shortlist.

There's nothing to install from FindLove and nothing to pay. You need a browser whose built-in AI assistant can use website tools.

Browser support is still new and arriving gradually. If your browser doesn't support it yet, Discover works exactly as it always has.

  1. Step 1

Use a browser with an AI assistant

Your browser's assistant needs to support website tools, an emerging standard called WebMCP. Check your browser's assistant settings if you're not sure.

  2. Step 2

    Sign in and open Discover

Use the profile you want to search as. Your assistant always searches as that profile and sees only the members you could see yourself.

  3. Step 3

    Turn on Browser assistant

Below the Discover heading, flip the Browser assistant switch. It only appears when your browser supports it. Nothing is shared until you turn it on.

  4. Step 4

    Ask in your own words

Describe who you're hoping to meet. To search near you, choose Near me first. Your assistant keeps that location when it searches.

  5. Step 5

    Take it from there

Read profiles and decide who to reach out to yourself. Change any filter and you're back in charge of the search.

Things to try

Ask the way you'd ask a friend

You don't need to know the names of our filters. Say what matters to you, and refine it as you go.

Looking for marriage
“Find women aged 27 to 33 in Sri Lanka who are looking to get married.”
Recently active
“Show me people active this week who have shared their photos, newest first.”
Living abroad
“I live in Australia. Who's open to relocating and has a verified qualification?”
Refining
“Same search, but only Buddhists, and show me the next page.”
Your privacy

What your assistant sees

Your assistant gets only what it needs to point you to people. Everything else stays where it is: on FindLove, behind the visibility settings each member chose.

It receives names and profile links

Plus the filters it applied and how many pages of results there are. To learn more about someone, you open their profile, just as you always would.

It never receives private details

No bios, photos, verification documents, contact details or precise locations. Profile sections a member hasn't shared with you stay hidden from your assistant too.

Your assistant's provider may process it

Your browser's assistant may send what it receives to its provider. That provider's privacy policy applies to it, so check it before you switch the assistant on.

Searches count as your activity

A search by your assistant counts as activity on your profile, like a search you make yourself, so you may show as recently active to other members.

Permission lasts one visit

Browser assistant switches off when you leave or reload the Discover page. Turn it on again whenever you want help. You can switch it off at any time.

Your decisions

What stays with you

An assistant can help you look. Reaching out to someone is a human decision, so these stay with you.

Your assistant can't

Act on your behalf

  • Send messages, express interest or accept friend requests.
  • Edit your profile, photos or who can see them.
  • Block or report members, or verify your identity.
  • Search as a different profile, or see members your profile can't.
You always

Make the connection

  • Choose who to contact, and what to say.
  • Decide what your profile shares, and with whom.
  • Take over the search by changing any filter yourself.
  • Choose whether the assistant can help at all.
Questions

If it isn't working

I can't see the Browser assistant switch

Your browser doesn't offer website tools to its assistant yet, or we haven't switched browser assistance on for everyone yet. We're rolling it out gradually. Discover works as usual in the meantime.

My assistant says it can't search

Check that the switch is on, and that you're still on the Discover page. If you left or reloaded the page, turn it on again.

The results don't match what I asked

Ask your assistant which filters it applied, or look at the filters on the page. Correct it in words, or change the filters yourself.

Is this available in the FindLove app?

Not yet. Browser assistance works on the FindLove website, in browsers that support it.

Let your assistant start the search.

Open Discover, turn on Browser assistant, and tell it who you're hoping to meet.
